SUS410 is a kind of martensitic stainless steel. It can achieve relatively high strength, toughness and corrosion resistance after appropriate heat treatment. Its machinability is excellent. It is mainly used as steel for general use, cutting steel and so on. It is not suitable for harsh corrosive environment.
SUS410 Corrosion Resistance:
Grade 410 stainless steels are resistant to hot gases, steam, food, mild acids and alkalies, fresh water and dry air. These steels obtain maximum corrosion and heat resistance through hardening. However, grade 410 steels are less corrosion resistant than austenitic grades and grade 430 ferritic alloys containing 17% chromium. Smooth surface finish offers improved performance of steels.

1. SUS410 is greatly recommended to manufacture the components requiring relatively high toughness and corrosion resistance. In addition, the components should bear a certain impact load.
2. SUS410 can be used as a heat-resistant steel as well to manufacture the parts which are oxidation resistant below 800℃.
3. Cutting tools and western tableware (like spoon, fork, knife, etc.)
4. Turbine blades
5. Hydraulic valves
6. Bolts, screws, bushings and nuts
7. Petroleum fractionating structures
8. Shafts, pumps and valves
9. Mine ladder rungs
10. Gas turbines
